Managing Director

Dato’ Azman Bin Omar

Dato’ Azman Omar is the Managing Director of Tidal Group. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Managing Director of Touch Group Holdings Sdn. Bhd ("TGH").

In his previous role with TGH , he has managed for more than a decade a diversified group of companies that is involved in various industries such as telecommunication, hospitality, food & beverage, property management, construction, dairy, renewable energy, travel and security.

Some of his notable achievements includes the growth of TGH’s telco division i.e., Touch Mindscape group from a handful telco structures to almost a thousand telco structures (via both organic growth and M&A) including a fiber network than spans to more than 500km.

Apart from his management capabilities, Dato’ Azman is also known as a “Turnaround Specialist”. Some of his earlier career years were spent in turning around problematic companies into profitable and high-income growth entities.

Dato’ Azman is a MRSM Seremban alumnus (“ANSARA”) and a qualified chartered accountant certified by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Deputy Managing Director

Johannis Bin Johari

Johannis is the Deputy Managing Director for the Tidal Group. He is tasked to oversee Tidal Group’s corporate finance, investment and strategic planning related activities.

Prior to joining Tidal, Johannis was with Dato’ Azman in TGH as their Deputy Chief Financial Officer (2016-2017) and subsequently as their Group Chief Investment Officer (2017-2022).

During his tenure with TGH, he has overseen the group’s funding and M&A activities. He has also been tasked to manage as the CEO of some of its subsidiary companies.

Johannis holds a Diploma in Accountancy from UITM Shah Alam and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of ACCA and a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA). Johannis has almost 10 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience gained when he was a banker with MIDF Investment Bank Berhad, Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad and HSBC Bank. Prior to joining TGH, Johannis was the Head of Corporate Finance for the NAZA World Group of Companies.

Both Dato Azman and Johannis has successfully achieved various corporate milestones in their career with TGH.

Human Resources

Tuan Haji Mohd Ismadi Ismail

Graduated from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut USA (1986) with a BSc in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Tuan Haji Ismadi started his career in 1987 as an Engineer at Advanced Micro Devices (M) Sdn. Bhd. He then continued his professional career as a Product Line Manager in Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies (1995-2005), followed by Assistant General Manager in Telekom Malaysia Berhad (2005-2019).

Tuan Haji Ismadi’s 32 years of professional background spans from Quality Control and Assurance, Process Engineering, Production and Maintenance in semiconductor industry, added with commercialization and business development, followed by internal audit role in one of Malaysia’s major telecommunication service providers.

During his 10 years tenure in Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Tuan Haji Ismadi were exposed to the field of Human Resources when one of his areas of auditing was the Group Human Resource Division. The comprehensive exposure and familiarities towards Human Resources made him highly eligible to lead the Human Resource Department while holding the position of Chief Internal Auditor for Tidal Group.

Head Corporate Finance

Raja Imran Jamalullail

Raja Imran is the Head of Corporate Finance at Tidal Venture Sdn. Bhd. The company specialises in operations and maintenance in the oil and gas industry.

Raja Imran has audit experience spanning over two years where he worked in Crowe Malaysia PLT and was involved in the audit of companies across various industries from manufacturing, food and beverage (F&B), and to construction. After his audit stint, Raja Imran took on a managerial role in the Finance Department of Regal Metal Sdn. Bhd., a company involved in property management. Raja Imran was also involved in the various corporate exercises undertaken by the sister company, Regal Mountain Sdn. Bhd.

Raja Imran is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He also has BSc in Applied Psychology and Management Studies from the University of Nottingham.

Internal Audit

Dr. Nur Liyana Adila

Dr. Liyana holds a Master degree of Accounting in Forensic Analysis from Staffordshire University and a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). She then passed her studies in Doctor of Philosophy and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Dr. Liyana has experienced in various positions and fields such as F&B industry as a supervisor, telecommunication services, and audit field.

Her first experience related to audit was when she was an External Auditor in Crowe Malaysia PLT (2022), where she involved in audit engagement and assisting in forensic audit engagement. In her years in Tidal Group (2023), she had successfully developed ideas for audit plan and established audit filing. She once again proved her natural professional scepticism characteristic when she managed audit work program for Tidal Group. Dr. Liyana who is also a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia has spectacular experiences in oil and gas and manufacturing industries.

She is now the Manager of Internal Audit Department.

IT, Admin, and Procurement

Muhammad Shahrul Nadzmi

Graduated from Staffordshire University with a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science and further his studies at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in MSc Data Analytics & Business Intelligence, Shahrul Nadzmi experienced in handling multiple projects related to data analytics and wrote papers on enhancing Supply Chain with Artificial Intelligence application.

During his years in Tidal Group, Shahrul had prepare any necessity to ensure smooth operation of the office on day-to-day basis. He is the person responsible for the company’s IT related equipment and file management system. He is also responsible in Tidal Group’s moving forward to make the office to be digitalised.

Apart from handling payments for all five Tidal Group companies, Shahrul is also responsible for cash management and dealing with banks for any related matters. He is now assisting the management of Tidal Group IT, Admin, and Procurement department.
